Margie Marie Voorhies, age 78, died Sunday, September 17, 2006 at Harrodsburg Health Care Ctr., Harrodsburg, KY. Born February 25, 1928 in Stanford, KY, she was the daughter of the late James and Della (Carey) Coffman and widow of Maurice E. Voorhies. She was a retired Seamstress at Cricketeer Mfg. Co. and a member of the Harrodsburg Christian Church. Survivors include: one daughter: Sue (Stevie) Carol Simpson of Harrodsburg, KY; and one son: Maurice Douglas Voorhies of Lawrenceburg, KY; three sisters: Ruby West of Danville, KY, Helen (Dudley) Long of Harrodsburg, KY, Mable (Hanley) Watts of Harrodsburg, KY; three grandchildren: Jane E. McCoy; William Douglas Voorhies; Joshua (Amanda) Andrew McCoy; two great grandchildren: Jonathon Wayne McCoy, and Thomas Ray McCoy; two step great grandchild, Stevie Clay Simpson, and Zachary Simpson. She was predeceased by a daughter-in law: Patricia Morris Voorhies, a sister: Dorothy Coffman, and two brothers: Cecil and Lewis Coffman. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM, Wednesday, at Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Dann Masden, with burial in the Spring Hill Cemetery, Harrodsburg. Pallbearers are: Dennis Voorhies, John Bohman, Paul Bohman, Mark Bowman, William Voorhies, Joshua McCoy, , . Visitation will be Tuesday, September 19 after 5:00 PM. and Wednesday prior to Service at Funeral Chapel Memorial contributions may be sent to Harrodsburg Christian Church, 305 South Main Street, Harrodsburg, KY 40330
