William G. “Bill” Shewmaker, age 81, husband of Jeanne (Chilton) Shewmaker, of Harrodsburg died Tuesday, October 22, 2024 at home. Born June 16, 1943 in Harrodsburg, KY, to the late George William and Beatrice (Leonard) Shewmaker. Bill was a retired sheet glass operator for Corning Glass Manufacturing, a lifelong farmer, a member of Harrodsburg Baptist Church and attended Clay Lick Methodist Church. He is survived by his wife: Jeanne Shewmaker , one daughter: Jan-Robyn (Chris) Perry and one son: Bill Shewmaker all of Harrodsburg, KY; one sister: Mary George (Richard) Peyton of Madisonville, KY; six grandchildren; Sadie Kate Shewmaker, William Hank Shewmaker, William Jackson Perry, John Lincoln Perry, Grayson Perry and Harlan Perry. The funeral will be held 1pm on Friday, October 25 at Ransdell Funeral Chapel, 345 E Lexington Street, Harrodsburg, KY. Burial will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery, Harrodsburg KY. Visitation will be Friday October 25, 2024 from 10:30am-1pm. Pallbearers: Bill Shewmaker, Chris Perry, William Jackson Perry, John Lincoln Perry, Grayson Perry, Harlan Perry, Sadie Kate Shewmaker and William Hank Shewmaker.
