Eloise C. Mayes, age 87, widow of Billy Mayes, died Friday, October 11, 2024 at home in Harrodsburg. Born January 7, 1937 in Harrodsburg, KY, to the late Larry and Madge (Releford) Cannada. She was a Lunch Room Monitor for Mercer Elementary School for many years and was a member of Cornishville Baptist Church. Eloise loved spending majority of her time being a homemaker and tending to her family.
She is survived by two daughters: Lois Mayes and Melany (Ronald) Lewis, both of Harrodsburg, KY, and one son: Robert (Rebecca) Mayes of Cornishville, KY; one brother: David Cannada of Harrodsburg, KY; three grandchildren: Ronald Lewis Jr., Tyler Lewis and Caitlin Mayes; one Great Grandchild, Addison Lewis.
She was preceded in death by her Brothers, Buster Cannada, Butch Cannada and Sister, Laura Reddicks.
The funeral will be held 1pm on Tuesday, October 15, 2024 at Ransdell Funeral Chapel, 345 E. Lexington Street, Harrodsburg, KY, 40330, with Mark King officiating. Burial will follow at Cornishville Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11am-1pm Tuesday October 15, 2024.
Pallbearers will be: Caitlyn Mayes, Nick Haynes, JR Lewis and Tyler Lewis. Members of Cornishville Baptist Church. will be Honorary Pallbearers
Memorials are suggested to be sent to a charity of your choice in honor or Eloise.
