Jeanne A. Brogle, 84, Salvisa, KY, died Sunday, July 10, 2022, at the Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center, Danville. Born April 6, 1938, in Mercer County, KY, she was the daughter of the late John W. and Hertaline (Brown) Hockersmith, Jr.. Jeanne was the owner and operator of the Old Country Daylily Farm and worked as a caregiver in more recent years. Survivors include: three daughters, Jeaneane (David) Ball of Salvisa, Jennifer Brogle of Harrodsburg, and Melanie Brogle of Lawrenceburg; one son, Stephen J. (Karin) Brogle of Salvisa; one brother, John W. (Linda) Hockersmith III of Salvisa; six grandchildren, Derek (Andrea) Ball, Justin (Jill) Ball, Scott Brogle, Travis Brogle, Kyle (Chelsi) Brogle, and Bliss (Matt) Kendrick; thirteen great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, David Wesley Brogle, and by two grandchildren, Trent and Farren Young. Funeral services will be 2:30 PM, Friday, July 15, 2022, at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Johnny Hockersmith, III. Burial will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery, Harrodsburg, KY. Visitation will be 6-8 PM Thursday, Ransdell Funeral Chapel. Pallbearers will be: Derek Ball, Justin Ball, Kyle Brogle, Matt Kendrick, John Hockersmith IV and Ricky Young.
