Obituary of Robert Earl Schuster
Robert Earl Schuster, Jr., 86, Versailles, formerly of Harrodsburg, husband of Nancy Jane Rueff Schuster, died Saturday, February 9, 2019, at the Baptist Health Lexington, Born June 20, 1932, in Jefferson County, he was the son of the late Robert Earl Schuster, Jr. and Louise W. Sehlinger Tyler.
Robert was a member of the St. Andrew Catholic Church, a former chairman of the St. Andrew Catholic School, served as chair of the Bishop's Annual Appeal for twenty years. A Graduate of the University of Kentucky, where he was a member of the Sigma Gamma Epsilon Fraternity. He was also an Army veteran of the Korean war, and was a retired employee of Corning Glass.
Other survivors include: five daughters: Theresa Jane Meiners of Versailles, KY, Kathleen Louise Noel of Harrodsburg, KY, Laura Ann (Tommy) Anness of Harrodsburg, KY, Sarah Elizabeth (Howard) Morrison of Atlanta, GA and Angela Marie (Joe Bill) Lance of Versailles, KY, and three sons: Gregory Paul Schuster of Lexington, KY, Mark Joseph (Susie) Schuster of Lexington, KY and Stephen Charles (Karen) Schuster of Harrodsburg, KY,; one half sister: Margaret Susan Vowels of Jeffersontown, KY; he also has fifteen grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren. He is predeceased by a son: Robert E. Schuster, III, as well as two grandsons: Jonathan Scott Anness and Seth Fuller Lance, and a brother: half brother: William R. Tyler, Jr.
A Catholic Mass will be celebrated at 11 AM, Wed., February 13, at St. Andrew Catholic Church. Visitation Tuesday, Feb. 12 from 5-8 pm at St. Andrew Catholic Church.
Pallbearers: Jeremy Patterson, Matthew Adel, Stephen Noel, Brett Anness, Philip Anness, Zac Yankey and Thomas Brown.
