Flossie Currens Renner, age 83, Harrodsburg, wife of Marvin Dean "Jim" Renner, died Saturday, July 23, 2011 at the Saint Joseph Hospital East, Lexington, KY.
Born December 14, 1927 in Harrodsburg, KY, she was the daughter of the late James and Beulah (Merryman) Currens. She was a retired seamstress from Crickteer and was owner and operator of Spots For Tots Day Care for 30 years. She was a member of the Deep Creek Baptist Church.
Survivors include: her husband: Marvin Dean "Jim" Renner; two sisters: Gladys Lewis and Louise (William) Smock; and three brothers: Jimmy (Margaret) Currens, Eldorse (Doris) Currens all of Harrodsburg, KY, Lee (Shirley) Currens of South Carolina. Flossie was predeceased by a sister: Bernice Carr and two brothers: John, Louis & Jake Currens.
Funeral services will be conducted 2 PM, Tuesday, July 26 at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Morris Trayner. Burial will be in the Spring Hill Cemetery, Harrodsburg.
Pallbearers are: Levi Smock, David Smock, Terry Currens, Jeff Currens, Lee Currens Jr. and Tommy Currens. Honorary Bearers are: Keith Currens, Lennie Currens, Kevin Currens, Todd Currens, Kelly Currens, Johnny Currens and Bobby Lewis.
Visitation will be Monday, July 25 from 5-8 pm at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel, Harrodsburg, KY.
Memorial contributions may be sent to St. Joseph Hospital East, Richmond Rd., Lexington, KY.
